How they’re made

four stages,one pair of hands

Nothing here is fast. A board takes as long as it takes, and we’d rather tell you the truth about the timeline than the version that closes the sale.

  1. Stage 01

    Begin with the board

    The outline, rocker and rails define how a board will feel in the water. Once the form is right, the timber surface is prepared so its grain can remain part of the finished design.

  2. Stage 02

    Build the colour by hand

    Colour is applied around the exposed timber rather than hiding it. Masking creates the dividing line, and the finish is built up carefully by hand before the board is sealed.

  3. Stage 03

    Glass and protect

    Fibreglass cloth is laid over the shaped board and saturated with resin. This stage brings strength and water resistance while preserving the contours underneath.

  4. Stage 04

    Finish the details

    The cured board is sanded and refined before the fin boxes and hardware are completed. Every edge, surface and fitting is checked before the board leaves the workshop.
